Planned Zones of the Future Sky World Village
The Village
A climate-resilient cooperative featuring small, customizable homes connected by walking and biking paths, designed for intergenerational and inclusive living. It will include transitional housing and focus on off-grid energy systems.
Timeline: Gradual development 2025-2030.
Community Space
The heart of Sky World Village, this space will include a cob oven for community gatherings, a renovated barn for celebrations and workshops, and a tool library alongside the Liberation Library. Surrounding native species gardens and water features will provide areas for rest, ceremony, and plant education. A small mercantile and café will generate revenue while fostering connection and collaboration.
Timeline: Launching 2025-2026.
Kanata Farm
This farm will grow traditional foods like white corn and tobacco for the Six Nations Longhouses, with facilities for processing corn and deer for community distribution. It supports the WNY Haudenosaunee Food Sovereignty Alliance and will provide Food Sovereignty Boxes to Native families.
Timeline: Launching in 2026.
Leased Farmland
Affordable farmland will be leased to refugee and migrant farmers from Providence Farm Collective's incubator program, with access to essential farming infrastructure like irrigation, storage, and processing facilities.
Timeline: Gradual launch 2026-2027.
Agroforestry Project
Transforming the surrounding forest into an edible and medicinal landscape, this project will remove invasive species and plant native trees and plants. Educational tours and workshops will highlight agroecological practices.
Timeline: Starting in June 2025.
